Michael Piskur, Program Manager

Mike Piskur joined the Council of Great Lakes Governors in 2012 where his work focuses on protecting and restoring the Great Lakes.

 

Previously, Mike worked in a number of roles focused on natural resource planning and economic development. At the Delta Institute, he coordinated energy and water efficiency programs, green building certification projects, waste reduction strategies and community outreach. He has also worked as an environmental writer and political analyst focused on Great Lakes, energy and water issues.

 

Mike holds a Master’s degree in Urban Planning & Policy from the University of Illinois at Chicago. He earned a Bachelor’s degree in Political Science from the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign and studied at the Budapest University of Economic Sciences and Public Administration in Budapest, Hungary.
